Add the app repo

An F-Droid repository. No account needed to add it or to install from it — just the URL and the fingerprint below.

On your phone

  1. Install F-Droid

From f-droid.org if you don't have it. It's the client this repo is served to.

  2. Settings → Repositories → +

Paste this as the repository address.

    Repository URL https://apps.simister.xyz/repo
  3. Check the fingerprint matches

F-Droid shows a fingerprint before you confirm. It should be this. If it differs, stop — you're not talking to this repo.

    SHA-256 fingerprint DF6E7C8552AF47923532BE5BD4AB80742BB5BFC329BF92EB0E17730B7DED5F85
  4. Refresh, then install

Pull to refresh in F-Droid. Where to next will appear in the list.

First run: the invite code

There is no account and no password. Open Where to next, type the invite code Ethan gave you, and pick the name the rest of the crew will see you as.

The name is permanent — everything you tag, log and buy is filed under it — so pick the one your mates call you.

Already have an older build? If you installed anything before version 0.12, uninstall it first.

Builds up to 0.11 were signed with a temporary key. Android refuses to update an app when the signing key changes, so the install will just fail with no useful explanation. Uninstalling loses local settings only — pints and the scoreboard live on the server.

Updates

New versions appear in F-Droid on their own — the repo index is rebuilt automatically whenever a build is published.

Under Settings → Updates you can turn on automatic downloading. Installing still needs one tap per update: silent installs require the F-Droid Privileged Extension, which needs a rooted phone. From 0.12 onward the signing key stays the same, so updates apply normally.

Without F-Droid

If you just want the APK once, download it directly and open it. You won't get updates this way.
